VISUAL ELEMENTS
Logos and Tagline
our logo
The Goodwill logo is the cornerstone of our organization’s visual identity. In order to ensure brand integrity and strength, consistent use of the logo is essential on all materials.
THE SMILING G
Created in 1968, the Smiling G trademark represents the Goodwill brand. It is the one symbol that unites Goodwill organizations worldwide. To ensure consistency and recognizability of the Goodwill brand, it is important that the Smiling G be used according to our guidelines. The correct color, sizing, spacing, and trademark symbol are all important aspects of the trademark.
LOGO USE | SPACING, SIZE AND COLOR
To give the Smiling G room to breathe, the trademark should appear surrounded by ample space with the “®” symbol falling in the lower right corner. The size of the symbol relative to the Smiling G must remain consistent across all reproductions. The space surrounding the Smiling G should be equal to half of the height of the entire mark. This is the minimum distance allowable between the Smiling G and other graphic elements such as typography, photography, and illustration.
Use our full logo for all external communications as often as possible. It may be preferable to use the Smiling G on its own in the following cases: there is very limited space, on merchandise (particularly when there is other artwork), internal communications, presentation title slides, event banners.
In order to maintain quality reproduction of the Smiling G, the size should not be smaller than .75″ wide. There is no limit for enlarging the Smiling G as long as it remains proportionate.
Leave colors as they have been specified in the files you download for use. Do not change the colors of our logos under any circumstances.
